Thank you to those who turned up in reasonable number for the pilgrimage Mass at the Cathedral in Wrexham yesterday. It was a beautiful Mass and fitting commemoration of a local saint, Richard Gwyn, a co-patron saint of the LMS.

My additional thanks go to the Bishop of Wrexham, the Rt. Rev. Peter Brignall and Cathedral Dean, Canon Simon Treloar for allowing the Mass to take place at the Cathedral. Additionally, the Canons of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest for their unwavering support, particularly Canon Tanner who was celebrant. Finally, the servers and choir also deserve credit.

A full report will appear at some point in Mass of Ages, in the meantime some photographs.

Many thanks Kevin, it was indeed a beautiful Mass. It was an honour to visit the Cathedral for the first time - my 2 x great uncle, Canon Adolphus Evans VF, was a Priest at the Cathedral from 1947 until his death in 1982.

I am pleased that you came to the Mass. I have just read a paper that you wrote on Canon Evans VF. Very interesting.

Thanks Kevin, a visit to the Cathedral had been on my to do list for a long time so it was a good opportunity. I think I have seen you at the 10.30am Mass at St Walburge, Preston? Although I am from Aberystwyth and am home regularly, I have been living just outside Preston for some years. When I was researching Canon Evans, I was told that he drew/sketched St Richard Gwyn. I can't just lay my hands on the source of that information at present but I wondered if it was the drawing behind the reliquary in the case in the Lady Chapel. Do you know anyone who might be able to confirm that? Many Thanks.
