The church is St Walburge situated at Weston Street in Preston.
Built between 1850 and 1854, as a Jesuit Church by Catholic architect J.A. Hansom, the church is a fine example of the Gothic revival style and features a daring and magnificent hammerbeam roof. The 309-foot spire is the third tallest in the country.
The North can now boast two dedicated centres for Liturgy and Sacraments in the Extraordinary Form. Pray for a third in Wales!
The Mass will celebrated by the Prior General of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, the Very Rev’d Monsignor Gilles Wach and refreshments follow after Mass.
